A video dedicated to Teamfight Tactics and how it’s rise is eerily similar to DotA.

I thought this would be anything like chess, or even a game a chess player would like, my bad

Hi any advice for my auto chess game idol
There's actually a card game genre called "deck building". These are mainly physical though. The only popular right now AFAIK in a digital form is Slay the Spire but this one is a solo affair. In deck building games, players usually start with the same small deck of around 10 cards. There's a common pool where they can buy different cards from (each turn) to add them to their deck forming an unique deck as the game goes by. That's a different experience every time and it's fun to follow what deck your opponents are making. The Auto Chess genre reminds me a lot of that feeling that I get from playing physical deck builders 🙂
The hell is a "barriors"? What crime did they do to deserve to be conquered?
The main problem IMO is that you can't control your units/champions… Card games do have RNG but not at the level TFT has… let's take yugioh for example. There is some sort of RNG in the sense that you not always draw the card you need or your starting hand might not be as good. But the game has a lot of searching cards that help players to get the cards they need for their combos, on top of that you have access to the extra deck, cards that don't need to draw. In addition, you can have a side deck to help you counter specific combos or archetypes during matches. All this helps to reduce the RNG… oh and on top of that, you are in full control of your monsters all the time, you decide when to activate their effects; which monsters to attack or defend; you have access to spells and traps and hand-traps (most of them searchable in many archetypes) that can turn the table in your favor; heck even the graveyard can help you to protect your cards or increase consistency. Whereas in TFT you get a random set of champions; random items; you cannot even see (or at least I haven't figure out how) which opponent are you going against so you can prepare your unit formation, and then you have to hope that your brain-dead units focus the right target or decide to use their abilities. Is sad because I think this game would be massively improved if 1- you could control your units or at least decide when to cast an ability, and 2- if there was a shop where you could buy the items you need…
BARRIORS
The only reason TFT gets popular is because people that suck in actual League are trying to get Twitch followers from playing TFT instead.
TFT is meant to fail and there is no hope for it, unless another company, which can create good games, takes over.
Dominion was the best.
Prefer manual chess.
you cant compare free downloads to people buying the game
Hey Gbay, a great "card game" comparison that matches more of what you were saying is a game called Slay the Spire. You should check it out!
3:00 also not true… u download the game automatically when u go into the custom game
1:23 Average daily visitors for instagram = 7.5 MILION…. Seriously??? It is 500 miliion
But a meta will form. It always will. Prioritize units that appear as makes sense and hope your opponent doesnt get a more optimal line up.
At the time of this video Im sure the game was exciting but like always this game will be mostly solved. The only up swing is that no player has to depend on 4 team mates to enjoy the game.
Deep and expressive my ass, pure RNG.
TFT is number 3 in my opinion when it comes to auto chess.
Basically people that suck at games need something to not feel shit about.
Starcraft td did it first 🙂
thanks for that explanation lolz. now even i know what this all is about xD – at 8:45 i disagree at a small point. in the end, the "right" play will be the strongest synergy that you got on the hand – don't u think that this is just because the players do not rlly know yet which are the "strongest" synergies? – there was no theorycrafting yet – once people calculated everything, the best players probably play after the list of strongest synergies
autochess is so long, boring, and has no wow or fun moments. The only input by a player is a few seconds of selecting one or two things at the start of a round and thats it.. everything else is done for you..this genre will be dead af .
Its like hearthstone arena bu you just sit and watch the cards being played until there is a winner LOL.
I see lots of people talking about magic the gathering drafting. Is no one going to mention that Slay the Spire is basically build around the drafting thing? It's a dungeon crawler but also a card game so it is pretty much the definition of draft mode. You get the basic idea of what character too play but then you adapt based on your relic and card drops throughout the run.
Heart stone=Nova patra
is it turn-based or real time?
It's a deckbuilding game. Kind of surprised it wasn't mentioned
All games when they are new have that element of false choice but once it has been out for a year people figure out how to maximise the game and if you aren’t playing like them you get left behind
Mods are where experimentation in the very foundation of game genres flourish. Modders do what professional studios view as too risky and unappealing. They're the ones who throw the shit at the wall until something sticks.
And yet modding support is falling by the wayside in gaming these days. Despite ALL the most popular genres of esports being born out of them. It's really unfortunate.
This video went over my head, fuck my life.
Hearthstone isn't a skill based game
